Native to Southeast Asia and Hawaii, these tropical plants are known for their vibrant, brightly coloured leaves that are often used to make hula skirts. The Pink Diamond variety has soft green foliage with pink and cream edges. In tropical climates, cordyline are grown as a small tree or bush and can grow up to 10” tall, but as a houseplant is only likely to reach 3 or 4 feet. They grow best in bright, non-direct light, and should be thoroughly watered when the top 2 or 3 inches of soil have dried, and will benefit from occasional misting.
