Native to Brazil, Calatheas thrive in bright, non-direct light and high humidity. These plants are known for their eye catching foliage, which are colourfully patterned on top with dark purple undersides. There are many different varieties of Calathea, all with unique colours and patterns, usually in shades of pink, green and purple. Their leaves follow the sun throughout the day, closing and opening as day turns to night. Keep away from hot or cold air drafts.
